Let it be known that on April 1st 2009 Planet Zebeth, the widely known and deeply cherished web comic has died of Hit Failure.

The comic inspired countless imitators and other sprite based web strips, it was the oldest and original Metroid webcomic and it shall live on in the hearts of those who have read it. I myself have been lifted up from dark times by it's subtle and not-so-subtle yet sophisticated and not-so-sophisticated (and sometimes vague Canadian) humor. We laughed, we cried from laughing, then we laughed some more, and finally we cried while laughing again from realizing that it was so funny that it made us cry while laughing. It has been a great emotional attachment for me and now I feel as if I was forced to watch as a close friend and a genius was struck down in the prime of his life by a speeding truck filled with people talking on their cellphones.

Let it also be known that no one who appreciated it shall ever live down it's passing. It was a friend, family and to some, Sanctuary.
